There was an interesting law passed recently in Israel which bans underweight models from catwalks and commercials. Women and men now cannot be hired for modeling jobs unless a doctor says that they are not underweight.
It’s hoped that this will reduce eating disorders and promote healthy body image.
So that’s what we’re talking about on the Forum this Sunday night…
Do you think this law is a good idea or not? Should it be introduced in New Zealand too?
What are your thoughts on body image issues? How much should we care about our image?
Why does society expect you to look a certain way? Is there anything wrong with that?
Listen below to how it went.
