An online dating company has spent the last few months surveying thousands of single Christians on their experiences in the church.
More than two thirds say they feel “socially anxious” about being single. Many of them say that the pressure to get married from other Christians makes them uncomfortable.
We’re going to talk about this on the Forum.
Have you ever felt the pressure to be in a relationship? Are you happy with your current relationship status?
Are churches too family-focused? What about singles groups? Do they feel patronising?
How do you find someone to marry anyway? Is there an imbalance between guys and girls for young adults in Christian circles? Would you consider online dating or church speed dating nights?
Bjorn and Asher headed down to the Georgie Pie press conference to review the return of the NZ favourite, Georgie Pie.
Jamie Curry might be the most famous teenager in NZ. She was hoping to get a hundred fans on the ‘Jamie’s World’ facebook page she set up last year. She’s currently got over 800 000. Her videos have a worldwide audience of 7 million people a week.
On the Forum this Sunday George talks to Jamie about what it’s like to go viral on social media, and how it’s changed her life.
We’ll take your thoughts on social media too:
Why do you think certain things go viral online?
What do you not like about social media? What things do people do on facebook which annoy you?
Is being connected to each other so much good or bad for our relationships in real life?
Are you addicted to social media?

We’re hitting the road and coming to a town near you. We’d love to meet and share with you what our direction for the future is and to find out what’s important to you.
Come and join us, meet our new CEO Mike Brewer and others of our team including some of the faces behind the voices you hear on air.
