These dudes (& dudettes) get together to learn lightsaber techniques, and get fit at the same time - genius! 

Nick the Movie Slayer & I were having a chat yesterday about new movies coming out this year and we were both stoked that one of the big ones coming out was Star Trek: Into Darkness! I think geeks have finally inherited the earth... considering how uncool Star Trek used to be, JJ Abrams did his job with the new ones, its totally changed now.

I've gotta say, I still have a soft spot for the Star Trek I was raised on - The Next Generation... i'm a little excited that they've redone the series in BluRay - incl this classic episode - best of both worlds...

Which inspired this sequel movie... The great Star Trek: First Contact!

If JJ Abrams made Star Trek cool, imagine what he can do with Star Wars... we wait in hope!

Congrats to Gotye & Kimbra for winning the Grammy a couple of days ago! I loved how down to earth they both were, totally deserved it too, great tune. Of course super proud of our hamiltonian superstar too - watching her reaction, she was so stoked, it was like watching one of our couzies take the award home, and who knows, given the size of this country that may be true of some of the Life FM listeners!! 

We were lucky enough to play a few of Kimbra's first few tunes and I interviewed her like 5 or 6 years ago before she moved to Melbourne, back when she was doing Jeff Buckley covers at the pub down the road... I managed to dig up the old interview!
