Avalanche City all-rounder Dave Baxter is releasing some solo stuff before a new A-City album next year. Better yet, it's free. The Let It Go EP is available now from davebaxtermusic.com.

This music video for the song "Whispers" was filmed at Waihi Beach just this last weekend - it's a beautiful vid to match a beautiful song.

As well as judging NZ X Factor next year, Stan Walker is trying his hand at acting. Mt Zion is a kiwi film being released February 6 next year, and stars Stan Walker as a talented young musician with a dream – for his band to win the audition to be the support act for Bob Marley's 1979 concert in Auckland.

His song "Take It Easy" also features as part of the film's soundtrack. Check out the video below.

After a lineup change earlier this year, New Empire have released their new single "Relight The Fire" to iTunes. There's also an acoustic version if you want it, and be set to hear a bunch more new stuff from these guys - a new album is due out March 2013.

Anberlin were interviewed by fuse.tv recently and talked about the inspiration behind "Someone Anyone", and how important is to have music written about serious topics and issues. They also address being labelled as a "Christian" band (pun kinda intended)

After a rather successful free download sampler from noisetrade.com, Thousand Foot Krutch asked a few friends to remix tracks from their latest album The End Is Where We Begin. The result is Metamorphosiz: The End Remixes [Vol 1] and features tracks from Solomon Olds (Family Force5) and Andy Hunter.

A little earlier than I expected it, but here is the new Hawk Nelson single "Words" - featurting Bart Millard from MercyMe. It's not quite on iTunes yet (I'll let you know when that happens) but I'm keen to hear your thoughts on it.
