Keep your dream alive
'Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.' Ephesians 3:20 NIV
Some dreams can get you into trouble; like when you're caught daydreaming about your next holiday in class. Others are plain unrealistic; like when you dream that Pizza Hut takes over the canteen at school. Some just seem 100% impossible; yet maybe God has placed this kind of dream in your head or heart for a reason. Strangely enough, it can be the ones that tamper with logic, that defy gravity, that scream 'Can't be done!' that God wants you to pursue.
What's waking you up at 3am every night with its wild, exciting ideas? What tugs at your heart strings and plays a symphony of goose bumps on the back of your neck? Could it be a prompting from the Holy Spirit? Are you dreaming about mission work abroad? Find out about the country and what good organisations already work there. Are you considering going to university? Start investigating, even if it seems impossible at the moment. Whether its taking up cross stitching, learning the guitar or having your own company one day, check it out before it dies out.
When you have a dream, ask God about it. Test it: share it with others you trust, do some research. If it's a dream from God, he leads you to the resources to help you.
So what now? You don't have to have 'made it' in life before you start making your dreams reality. You can start at any age and at any time. So make that time now! Keep the dream alive!
