Remedy Drive: The North Star Featured

Remedy Drive have a pretty cool purpose with their music: to shine a light on slavery and injustice.

Here's what they have to say:

"We’re just a rock and roll band. I’m just a song writer from Nebraska. These past four years I’ve spent months of my life undercover in brothels on red-light streets in Southeast Asia and in Latin America finding evidence of sex trafficking, using covert gear to capture that evidence and then partnering with local authorities to make raids.

We started recording this new album The North Star on the top of buildings in Southeast Asia, often times within blocks of the red-light district streets where they sell teenage girls against their will. The same streets that Matt Parker, the founder of the counter trafficking organization The Exodus Road, and I would go out and work at night.

Our goal was that the devastating reality of slavery and injustice would find its way onto this album."
