"A Girl Named Abigail" is one of those songs that tells you everything about the person who wrote it.
Salem Māhia penned it last year over the course of a few months as a tribute to his aunt - who passed away from cancer when he was just four years old. Too young to really know her. Old enough to feel what was missing.
He's 17, from Hawke's Bay, and this is the kind of song that doesn't come from a formula. It comes from somewhere real.
