Josh and Daru are the founders of The Commission Clothing, a Christian clothing brand from New Zealand. They met at Shore Baptist Church, and what started as a yarn after church turned into a brand that launched just over a year and a half ago. Josh brings experience from Athletes in Action, a ministry reaching sports athletes, and Daru brings a background in websites.
In this conversation, Rachel and Eloise ask where the name came from (the Great Commission, Matthew 28:18 to 20), why some of the designs say “Can I pray for you?” and “Have you heard?”, and the process behind every design. They also talk about the conversations the clothes have started, from the gym to their DMs, and how they choose which ministries to support.
